The Sword of Destiny (Side quest idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a track down side quest. The players are around a hilly area & find that their is a sword on one of the hills. If they go up & look at the sword they will find that their is a small note on it, which reads "Please return the Sword of Destiny to Owlin Destiny at (insert address here)." If the players do this they will meet Owlin Destiny who will tell them that the sword was placed their as a test to see those who would be honorable enough to return it. Owlin Destiny will then enchant the sword making it hit for +2 harder & then give it back to the party. If the party decides to not originally return the sword & to instead keep it, the sword will be taken after they go to rest for the night. They will also find that some of their loot may have also ben taken.

Inedible Rubbish (Food idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that just want stats for when your players make something that can't be eaten. Appearance: It looks like regular food, just worse... so so much worse. It has a bad smell to it & it will taste horrible. Description: This food, made by someone who should never handle making food again, is revolting in every sense of the word. It tastes bad, smells bad, & well it look about average. If someone were to try & eat this, they are very likely to get hurt & or vomit from eating it. Theirs a multitude of ways to screw up making food, most of which a common person won't stumble upon. How a food becomes this?: For a food to become inedible rubbish it needs to have one of these things. -Have something in it that literally cant be eaten (like a knife & or a brick) -Have something in it that is poisonous/harms the eater (like poisons or curtain type of herbs) -Have something in it that degrades it's quality to this (like decayi...

Re-Raise Of The Bandit Queen (World event idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want Banditry to be on the rise. The player's are staying in a pub area, when a person  with a couple dozen arrows stick out of them comes riding into the center of town. They will announced that the bandit queen has returned & has taken [insert local province/city name here] & then die from the arrow. At this the people around the person will gasp & either become panicked or scared. If the player's ask around to figure out who the bandit queen is, they will find out, that about 15 or so years ago detestation hit a couple of local provinces & from that came unrest. From that unrest a person claimed that it was the fault of the government's incompetence & lack of empathy towards the people. The person claimed that if they are able to throw out the current government & replace with one loyal to the people, then they will never have these moments of strife ever again. The Firestarter (villain idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want some things to go ablazing. The Firestarter, is a start of fires (as their name suggests). They're a serial arsonist for reasons that they keep to themselves, & have endangered many lives in their goal to just burn stuff to the ground. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Types of 'The Firestarter' The Addict: Fire burns bright & is cathartic to watch. Spider Chair (item idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a cool chair. Appearance: A regular iron chair that has six legs, that look akinded to a spiders. It's legs can move, making the chair mobile. Description: This chair, made by a drow to appease Lilith,  is a chair that has spider like legs that move about. The chair follows around it's owner & unless it is told to stay (You can tell it to 'sit' since, it will get into position for you to sit in it). The owner (if under 140 pounds) can be carried around when this chair walks about.

Traits & Attributes (NPC Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that need some quick & easy traits & attributes to give to those non-important npcs. 1: Heaviest Smoker: They smoke... a lot. If you look away & then look back, you can swear their ash tray gain another member or two. You would not be surprised if they carried more than three pacts of cigarettes on them 2: Cool Wannabe: They want to be the cool one. They exsacturated actions just so that it seems more 'wonderous'. They are possibly the only person who has tried to add 'flair' to minuscule tasks like replacing the toilet paper, or replacing their pet's water. 3: Chewer: Their mouth is always moving, not cause they are always talking, but that they are always chewing something. The Followed (character idea)

Here's one for you Players that want to be on the run (all classes recommended) The player has been on the run, for a long time now. They are being chased by someone, who it is, is up to the player. All they know is that getting caught will lead them to a fate that is rather to be avoided. They adventure in hopes of staying away from their purser & find something to make them stop following them.

Potion of Incorporealness (Potion idea)

Here's one for you DM's the want your players. Appearance:  A bottle that seemingly doesn't have a liquid in it. The bottle itself seems to a be allot more see though than a regular bottle. Description: This potion, made by a ghost brewist, allows for the drinker's body to become incorporeal. This makes it so physical attacks are less effective against the drinker. This spell also makes it so people can hide better in the darkness. Attribute: Causes the drinkers body to become incorporeal. -Budging, piercing, & slashing damage resistance -Stealth has advantage in dark areas.

Hot crime (event idea)

Here one for you DM's that wants some hotcrime The players are in some sort of store that has a window which views outside of the store. While the players are at the store they notice that the building across the street is getting robbed, by fire elementals. If the players don't do anything about this, the fire elements will rob the building, start on fire (on accident) & then the police will come. If the players attempt to stop this they will be meet with an encounter where they will fight 1 fire element while the other ones run away. After the battle happens the police will come, attempt to arrest the party & if the party agrees they will be taken in, questioned & then released.

A Little Case of Mass Death (World Event Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a little plague fueled paranoia. The players are in a island country, when the whole country goes into an lock down (not letting any in or out of the country). Apparently, a local island nation got a bad case of something called 'massale bloedblaarvorming in de nek' which has caused many peoples throats to close from outside pressure causing them to suffocate. That island nation has also put itself on lockdown so that said plague won't go to other island, but to be safe rather than sorry, most of the other island nations are also going on lock down. This will continue for around three day to two weeks, & at the end of the last day, it will be announced travelling from the nation will be permitted & players can go where they please once more.

Glasses of Ultimate Sight (Equipment idea)

Appearance: It looks to be a regular set of classes glasses. Description: This glasses, made by a magical optometrists, expands the uses vision pasts what should be allowed for regular beings to see. It may induces head aces, & can easily shatter if hit. If the glasses break they create a small explosion (which near the eyes can cause some irrevocable damage.) Attributes: - All sight related problems are gone and the user is no longer able to get sight related problems - Gives dark vision - User can see perfectly for 10 miles - Once a day roll a d10 : (on a 6-10 the user gains an extra cone in their eye. [The cone allows the user to see an entirely new color, which disorients the user for a day]) - If the user is able to see too many new colors they will be disorientated for the rest of their lives - New color...

Quiver of Arrows [Verity Pack] (Weapon idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want arrow chaos. Appearance: It a purple quiver of arrows. Each of the arrows is made of a different color of wood. Description: This quiver of arrows, made by a fetcher who wanted an item to spice up business, has 10 arrows which their are 5 verities of. It is highly recommended that a person does not take out one of these arrows unless they plan to use it immediately. Attributes: Quiver Contains 10 arrows & 5 different verities can be found in one of these (roll a 1d10 to find out which one you get) -Roll a 1: The Arrow starts on fire after it is out for 14 seconds or more. (deals 4d4 damage) -Roll a 2: The Arrow calls lighting from the sky after it hits an object. (deals 2d8 damage) -Roll a 3: The Arrow turns fully into metal after being taken out for less than 3 seconds -Roll a 4: The Arrow will cause whatever it touches to float, effective once it's taken out of the bag. -Roll a 5: The Arrow, after being shot, will turn into...

Portal of Ottermaina (iteam idea)

Here's one for Dm's that want infinite Otters. Appearance A Sphere that has a cylinder shaped object protruding out of it. If the cylinder is pushed in it will make a dark brown portal. Description: This sphere, if put together correctly, summons a portal which in itself will summon one otter every seven seconds, & will do so indefinitely. To stop otters from coming out of the portal, hit the sphere on the back to pop the cylinder out of it. Their is nothing odd about the otters, they are just regular otters. If more than 50 otters come out of the portal, they have a small chance of starting an otter society.They have a better chance of starting an otter society per 10 otter above 50 that they are at.

Friendly Fire (Spell idea)

Here's one for you dm's that wants some passive fire Lvl: cantrip Casting time: instant Range: 30ft Components: Tinder (or something that is commonly used to start fires), T Duration: concentration (can last up to 2 hours). Spell description: This spell creates a small fire which occupies a 5ft by 5ft square. It illuminates 15 feet around it. It glows with a purple glow despite the flame being the regular yellow/red color. This flame in unable to affect it's environment, other than it's glow. Backstory: This spell was orginaly made to help humans explore places which was deemed a fire hazard. Eventually it went to be incorporated in many trickery acts, & in the houses of magicians.

Flammable room (Trap idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a trap that will make the player's panic. The players enter a room & they find that the room is covered in some weird inky black substance. If the players enter the & have any sort of item that can cause a flame passively (like a torch) it will have a 1d4 chance  starting a fire  (if it lands on a four the room starts on fire) per seven seconds (ie a turns length of time). If the room starts on fire,  it will travel 15 feet in ever direction per turn. If a player/monster are in a tile that is on fire they will have to make a dex save & on a fail will take 1d8 a turn.

Horsteds' Wine Bottle (Treasure idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want an antique treasure item in their campaign. Description: An antique clay wine bottle, it has strange symbols on it. Backstory: This Clay Wine Bottle was owned by the one & only Horsted. Who's Horsted? No One Knows, but all the people who try & decipher ancient langue talk about them a lot, & apparently that gives this old clay wine bottle more relevancy than others. Material Value: It is worth nothing if sold as just an antique clay wine bottle, but if sold as THE Horsteds' Wine Bottle it can fetch a good price amongst historians Magical Value: It has no (apparent) magical value beyond the materials its made of

A Duel Of The Delayed (Sidequest idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a funny side quest idea. The players are hanging around the hub when they witness two people get into a very heated argument. At some point one of the two challenges the other to a duel, In which the other agrees. They then ask the people around if any of them can be a witness for this duel. If the players agree they will be brought up to the two. [If the players don't agree then some other people go up their instead & the only way that the players can watch next events go down is by viewing it from afar] Once the players are brought up the two will agree on a date & they will both ask some of the players to come to their houses a few hours before. If the players come at the right date & time, both people will get ready to go. But then 'some stuff' comes up so they got to delay the duel a bit. This will continue until it's six hours later. NPC Bundle 20: Colonists (NPC Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want some colonists for you colonizes. 1: The colonist's cartographer, who is really good at figuring out coordinates & steering the group in the right direction... their just really bad at drawing maps, five year olds might be able to draw a map better than them. 2: A Farmer, who has been along this colonization ride since the beginning, that is very sick of all these colonial ventures which either wither out & fail, or barley succeeded & would rather go home at this point. 3: The head conquistador, who is both very adventurous & curious, & very cowardly when dealing with new situations. 4: A Colonist Merchant, who is very convinced that all this new stuff that they are finding has allot more purpose & power than it actually does. 5: A Ruler whom has decided that this whole colonialisms business is in their best benefit & has whole heartedly embraced it. Blockade (World event idea)

Here one for you Dm' that want some fun economic activity that will cost the players more. The nation (the onea tha players are in) just started a war with a weaker neighboring nation. It will be easily won. The bad news is that they have a better navy & are blocking the ports of the conquering nation. So all prices on imports will keep going up till the end of the war. The players can attempt to relive the blockade by find a way around or by causing the blocking force to leave/be destoyed. If they succeed prices will return to normal & actually be lowered gor a day or two.

Counsel of Waring Lords (Association Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a association based around both fighting & tactics. Description: This is an association for the strongest warriors & military minds to convene in order to make new strategies to advance how combat is done. It is also commonly used by military engineers to devise new weapons of war. Background: This association was made by queen Galileious, to help in the conquest of the 'greater kingdoms'. After her fall from power this club became her legacy. Many great military minds have been in this association at one point or another. Membership: To become a member you have to beat another member in a battle of minds (dragonchess) or a battle of brawns (duel with stunning rapiers). Membership cost is the expenses of the club devided by each member. Empire's Darkest Hour (Campaign idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a campaign that's a race against the clock. Once upon a twenty four years ago, the 3rd cousin of the emperor got kidnapped & nobody cared (not even the 3rd cousin's parents [who were fairly aloof & abusive]), & as such no cared to save the 3rd cousin. Years pass & the empire's royal family gets hit with crisis upon crises. From plague, infighting, deaths on the battle field & a small revolution amounts the royal families castle, & the emperor living a stupidly long time to where the emperor's kids started dying of old age, the royal family goes from a splendors 78 down to 2. These last 2 were the ever so old emperor & the (supposedly still alive) kidnapped 3rd cousin. The Concession Armor (Cursed Item Idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want to honestly hurt your players by helping them. Appearance: A regular looking piece of armor (comes in all verities) that has a spike protruding out where the person's heart would be. Description: This cursed armor, made by a skeleton, increases the armor class of there person wearing by a whole heckling lot. But it makes the wearer  extremely frail, & their construction will suffer for it. This armor require three people to take off due to the spike. Attribute: Comes in any type of armor (the armor's regular attributes are combined with other attributes) -Give +1 ac per 3 con the user has. -Reduces the user's Con to 4 (this dose not effect the first attribute[this does affect the user's max hp])

Galvir's Brew Collection (Food idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want some fancy beers in their campaign. Appearance: A collection of beers of all shapes, sizes & colors. Description: This drink collection, made by brew master Clint (named after his 'friend' Galvir), was made to push drinks where they have never been before , though weather that was necessary or not is still up to debate. This drink collection is composed of many small verities of many common drinks, some new drink ingredients, & four new 'master brews' (which will be listed bellow). Master Brews: -The Mahara: The strongest drink that can legally be severed in dwavish bars. This drink can give a lesser person alcohol poisoning, so you have to sign a waver before you drink it. -Seamen's Delight: This drink is made with a mixture of sea water, rum, exotic spices (Which can't be named due to it being a trade secret), & the tiniest bit of mead. Elite & Exiled (Companion idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want some noble fun. The players are in a somewhat fancy place, when they noticed that theirs a plastered rich looking guy just spending their money away. If the players try to interact with them, they will be drunkenly friendly with them. If the players go out of the building & or a different room than the noble, the noble will follow them around like a drunken Labrador. The players can attempt to shoo/lose the noble & have an advantage at it. If they succeeded they won't see the noble again until the noble is blackout drunk. If they don't do this the noble will follow them basically anywhere, & if the party still has them around the next day, the noble will have sobered up. At this point the noble will thank/apologize to the party & then explain that the noble has been exiled due to 'illegal activates', & was drinking to just get drunk. At this point the noble will ask if they can stay with the party for awh...

BĂȘte de l'Ă©volution (enemy idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want an enemy that keeps getting harmer The BĂȘte de l'Ă©volution (Beast of evolution [you can thank the elves for the name]) is a small red gelatinous cube that can 'never be defeated'. It is 'undefeatable', due to whenever it gets beaten, it will self evolve to better fight against what it lost to. Of course this will eventually lead to it become 'un-undefeatable', via putting what allows to stay alive, eventually getting weaker/evolved out due to the other attributes it gains having more priority to stay with the monster than the thing that keeps it alive. Stats Cr: 1/2 -25 AC: Starts at 4 HP: Starts at 2 Str: Starts at 2 Dex: Starts at 2 Con: Starts at 2 Int: Starts at 1 Wis: Starts at 1 Cha: Starts at 0 Movement: Starts at 0 ...

Beat Biters (food idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want some food which bites back Appearance: It's a regular looking beat, excepts it has a ling going around the middle of it. The line actually looks like the edges of a mouth if you spend to long just looking at it. Description: This beat, made though evolution, has a mouth that it just loves to bite people with. It's hard to tell the difference between this beat & a regular beat. A beat biter's bite doesn't real do much damage to a person, but does keep it protected from animals who would wish to eat it regularly. Attribute: This food can bite anyone who is holding it (dealing 1d2 damage if it hit)

NPC Bundle 19: Dryads & Druids

Here's one for you DM's that want some of those nature lovers I your campaign. 1: A Dryad who is a friend to all animals (woodpeckers & termites not withstanding) & whenever they leave their tree, they can be seen with at least 10 or so animals following them. 2: A Druid who is a fan of … herbal substances of the illegal verity. They can usually be found either growing their herbal substances of the illegal verity or pedaling their herbal substances of the illegal verity. 3: A Very Intelligent Wolf who has become a druid just by being around other druids long enough to pick up enough knowledge on how to do Druidry. 4:A morally grey Dryad who thinks that those pesky humans should be dealt with, due to all the harms they cause to nature. 5: A druid that is a sentient flower that attached itself to a dead body. It really likes the smells the pomegranates.

Shoes of Scaling (equipment idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that just wanna have your players walk on the walls Appearance: A regular pair of iron boats, that have some weird purple foamy substance protruding from the bottom. Description: These shoes, made by a person who was envious of spiders wall crawling ability, allows the user to walk up any degree of walls. 90 degrees (straight up from the ground) you can do that, 135 degrees you can do that, 45 degrees well you already could do that before these shoes, but still you can do it. The few drawbacks that this has is that you can't jump with these shoes on & that they make metal clanks on the surfaces they touch. Attribute: Allows the wearer to walk up any degree of walls -wearer can't jump with them on -wearer get's stealth disadvantage with them on

Ring in the Snow (event/side quest idea)

Here's one for you DMs that want a nifty little happening in the world & a potential side quest. The player are walking around in a snowy area when they see something shiny buried under the snow. If they decided to dig the thing up, they will find that it is a tiny platinum ring. The ring on the inside rim has the words "I Love You Authela" on it. At this point the players will probably decided weather to keep it or find who the Authela is. If they decided to keep it they can search around any local towns to try & figure out who this person is. Though allot of people, who know people, who knew people, who knew some guy, they will eventually find this Authela. Apparently they broke up with their lover & had thrown the ring away into the snow. They will let the party keep it, & will give them some silver for their willingness help them.

In the blood (encounter idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want a joke large ham villain. The players are walking about in an open area in the world when they notice that a group of people are heading towards them at breakneck speed. After awhile the group of people get up to the party. A person in very shiny spiky armor comes from the group of people. They open their mouth & state “I’m Ravox the Desimater… jr, & I'm here to rob & then kill you, Cause it’s in my blood right”. At this point they will get into that generic 1900’s boxing stance to [prepare & fight the party on their lonesome. If the party does any damage to them, they will start to cry & then run away. The group of people will follow them & the players will be left on their lone again. This will repeat over & over again thought the whole story, with the villain come back with even more people with some stupidly powerful looking weapons, but will still attempt to do the 1 v the party & will run away crying aft...

Many Headed Phoenix (Enemy idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want some nifty Phoenixes. Phoenixes live die & get reborn. However whenever two phoenix's die next to each other, when they come back to life, they will be combined into one phoenix with multiple heads. They will be stuck at a smaller size, but tend to be smarter & wiser than most other phoenixes. Sometime, though rare, people can find an elusive five headed phoenix, which is the most amount of heads one of these things can hold. Stats Cr: 3 - 8 AC: 14 + dex mod HP: 35 + (Con mod x 3) Str: 12  Dex: 14 (-2 per head above 2 ) Con:  12 (+2 per head above 2) Int:14 (+3 per head above 2) Wis: 14 (+3 per head above 2) Cha: 12 (+2 per head above 2) Movement: 40ft, Can fly Immunities: Fire Sense: Dark vision (60ft) Language: Can understand commo...

War Of Independence (World event idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want an empire beginning to shatter as a world event. The world is at the age of either conquest or colonization & the people of the affect land sure aren't happy about that. So over the course of the game, people located in these lands will become more & more discontent with their governments & soon enough mass unrest will be common, & revolution/a civil war will be nearly guaranteed. This can lead to the players getting requests from both sides to sabotage the others before the inevitable war happens.

Crystal Prisoner (Sidequest idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that wants some good old saving a trapped person quest. The player are exploring a cave that they found in the ground. As they explore around they see nothing of interest, but as they get deeper into the cave they start to see crystal structures line the ceilings,  & then later on they see it covers the walls, & as they approach a weird room they see it cover the floor. When they enter the odd room they will see that there is a giant floating crystal in the middle of it that holds… something. It’s shape is humanoid but they won’t be able to quite tell what it is. The players will now have, to decide if letting this ‘thing’ free of the crystal is a good idea, & if they decided that it is, then find a way to free this person from the crystal.

Well Well (Event idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a well place... that is also a well. The players are walking around the garden area in a town when they spot a well. It has a slight blueish glow & just give off that 'come to me' atmosphere. If the players decided that going up to it is a good idea, a frog will jump out once they get less than five feet away. The frog will cough up a gem & then jump back into the well. If the players stay around to see what will happen next, the frog will jump out once more, eat one of the player's coin purses & then jump back into the well. At this point, the frog will not jump out again.

The unpickable coin (item idea)

Here's one from a https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198061938150/ who asked for a coin that could not get picked up by any means. Appearance: A Platinum coin that is just on the ground. Description: This coin, made by a trickster, cannot be picked up by any means. This includes even trying to pick up the ground that sits under it. No one truly knows how it works, but we know that it's a feat of engineering & not a feat of magic Attribute: Can't be picked up.

Holy Mandate Revoked (Campaign aspect idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want some very nifty political stuff affecting the aspects of their campaign. The world is ruled by monarchies of all different varieties. But many of them claim that their rule is brought by the favor of the gods. But when the gods directly start talking to the people about how corrupt & unjust their governments are, how will the world change then. Unrest, & rebellions against the monarchies will become more common & even some countries might descend into civil wars that might be able to replace the heads of their government. All this unrest & reblions can make it hard for the players to do thing which would otherwise be easy (ie finding travel across land, safe refuge for the night & ects). This could also lead to side quests from either rulers or rebels that will make the players help one or the other.

A wiff & a half (event idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a not actual surprise attack, attack. The players are walking around when an arrow comes from the sky & hits one of the players. This should set the party into a frenzy to find who did this, & while this happens another arrow comes & almost hits another team member. At this point make them roll initiatives & have them freak out at what is happening. After awhile of trying to figure out who is doing this, they will find a lone bowman trying to hit a bird & missing. This bowman is in the direction that the other two arrows came from are. At this point the players do whatever they decide to do next.
