Pamphlet of Necromancy [beginners addition] (item idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want to give your players access to lesser non-combative necromancy spells Appearance: A Light purple book with the words “Pamphlet of Necromancy [beginners addition]” written on the front. Description: The pamphlet, made by a necromancy who wants more ‘young people’ to get involved in necromancy, allows the user to cast some lesser non-combative necromancy spells. Please note, do not burn the phablet under any circumstances, due to the release of necrotic energy being dangerous to the regular person. Attributes: Gives the user access to the “Spare the dying”, “False Life”, “Speak with Dead”, & “Gentle Repose” Burning the pamphlet will cause a 10ft by 10ft square energy sphere which does 2d8+3 necrotic damage to all inside it.

An Explosive Surprise (trap idea)

Here’s one for you Dm’s that want a trap that a little bit combusive. The players are walking about in a dungeon when all of a sudden they trigger a trap. The first thing they will notice is a sizzling sound. After a little while they will start to smell smoke & then eventually burnt gunpowder. If they don’t catch the hint that something is about to explode & end up stay by the explosive, they will have to make a dex save to not get hit by the expulsion. (If they do get hit, dm should decided how much damage it does, but it should be on the higher end if they ignored the signs of the explosion coming up.

A Whale of a Time (event idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s who want a boat event. The players are traveling via boat to get from point A to point B. After awhile they will notice that the water starts to tremor a bit. If they look about to see what's causing this, they will find that a whale is heading towards their direction. After awhile the whale starts to get dangerously close to the boat. If they players do not move the boat out of the way, the whale will ram it at full speed & swim away (leaving the players with the problem of the whale impact)
