Borbus the Bear (Companion idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a team pet. The players have decided that resting in/near a forest area was a good idea. After the long rest ends the party will noticed that a very fat brown bear has come up to the party's camp & is just laying on the ground. If the players go & disturb the bear, it will get up from resting & just start to loaf about around the camp. If one of the players try to shoo the bear away it will walk up to the player & start to sniff them. If the player has any food items on their character the bear will poke their nose where it's located & attempt to open whatever is holding it in an attempt to eat the food. If the player who is getting their food stolen attempts to not let that happen, the bear will rub up agents them aggressively & attempt to lay on them. Sunless Sky (Event idea)

Here's one for you Dm's who want to do something to spoke your players. The players are doing whatever the heck they are doing when all of a sudden the sun just stops shinning. This should make the players pretty concerned, since the sun turning off isn't normal. After awhile people will start to panic & general disorder will start so after. After about an hour or two of this happening the sun starts to shine once again. If the players decided they want to find out why this all happened, after a day or two local news will state that the reason the sun went out was due to a failed experiment by a powerful wizard on the other side of the world.
