Mimic’s Mimicry Room (trap idea)
Here’s one for you DM’s that want a room filled with easy to kill (but nomorus) mimics
The players are searching for a dungeon, when they come across a hidden room. As they enter they find that the room is filled to the brim with treasures, goodies & a lamp that hangs from the ceiling. Once the party enters the room (Or if one of the players does it without telling the team & attempts to leave the room) the door enters the room will shut.
An ominous voice will come that states “find the blue key in the room, & then you shall leave with your loot”. After this, any of the objects that the players check, will be a mimic & attempt to eat/bite them. The actual location of the key, is on top of the lamp (the lamp also being a mimic) Once they pick up the key, it turns into dust, & then the door will also turn into dust.
