Show Of Force (Encounter idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want an encounter with an overzealous warlord... who really didn't think this through.

The players have just gotten to a small town up in an unpopulated area of the world. After being their awhile, the small town guard starts to freak out & spread the word. Apparently a group of kobolds are coming to raid the town, & the only way they will stop is if the town gives them all of their gold.

The towns guard (which is about 5 people), starts discussing what to do next. They agree upon asking anyone who seems to be fit for combat & get ready for what will come. They will then come up to the party & ask if they are willing to help (if they say no, don't continue with encounter & or just have it in the background).

After about 4 hours, the kobolds will show up in force... but only the leader is armed. Que the leader making a grand speech about how is forces are superior, & some other non-sense, while the rest of their group is just standing around uncomfortably. After awhile of speaking, the kobold will get to the point & ask for the gold. The guards will refuse (due to being actually armed despite the lack of manpower).

If the players didn't join, the kobolds buff will get called & they will leave. If the players did join the kobolds will think that they got this & attempt to charge into the town!

Dryads' Domain (Location Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want location that is lightly fey. Appearance: A regular looking forest, that at night has a weird glimmering lights which seems to lead somewhere less embeamed in reality Backstory: This forest is ruled by Dryads, who do all in there power to protect the forsest from hostile forces. The Dryads are know to help those who have done good in the eyes of the world or in the eyes of nature. That being said, those who haven't are in for one horrid beat down. Possible traps: Sentient vines, carnivorous plants, leg rope trap. Possible enemies: Anything under the plant monster category, Siren, Dryad, pixie, sprite Possible Bosses: Conclave Dryads, Any Eladrin (counts on the current session). Possible Loot: Rare plants, ancient  decayed weapons, ore deposits, rare fungi, exotic animals

Unwieldablity (Curse Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a curse to make great weapons, unusable for awhile How To Get Cursed: This curse has to be applied to the item before hand, during a ritual. Affliction From Curse: Makes it so this weapon can't be used as a tool or as a weapon, as long as it's cursed. How To Un-Cures: Have to either kill the person who put the curse on the object, have it uncursed by a fairly powerful spell, & or carry the weapon with you (on person) for about 2 weeks.
