Otters? Otters! (Event Idea)

REVAMPED verison:

Here's one for you DM's that want an odd event about out of place otters.

The players are traversing across a desert, & as the continue to go across of it, they see some odd figure in the distance. As they continue to travel, the figures get closer & closer, but the players won't be able to tell what it is. Soon enough, it start to become night & the giruges seem to be to far away to make it to the party that night.

Once they set up camp & sleep for the night they will hear footsteps coming towards the camp. The players are given awhile to prepare before who ever comes to the camp gets there & with their figures looming in the distance. Soon enough the beings will come to the camp & the party will see... that it's just a bunch of otters?

If the players investigate the otters to try & figure out what they are doing here, they will only find more question in there quest for answers. The otters will rest for a bit by the fire, before heading out back into the desert as they continue onwards. If the players ever come back to the desert, they will have a 50% chance of running into the otters again.

Here’s one for you Dm’s that want some animals in the wrong environment.

The players are in a very dry environment when they encounter some otters. If the players go to investigate why there are otters here, present them with more & more environment things that would visually represent that otters are absolutely not suppose to be here.

Dryads' Domain (Location Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want location that is lightly fey. Appearance: A regular looking forest, that at night has a weird glimmering lights which seems to lead somewhere less embeamed in reality Backstory: This forest is ruled by Dryads, who do all in there power to protect the forsest from hostile forces. The Dryads are know to help those who have done good in the eyes of the world or in the eyes of nature. That being said, those who haven't are in for one horrid beat down. Possible traps: Sentient vines, carnivorous plants, leg rope trap. Possible enemies: Anything under the plant monster category, Siren, Dryad, pixie, sprite Possible Bosses: Conclave Dryads, Any Eladrin (counts on the current session). Possible Loot: Rare plants, ancient  decayed weapons, ore deposits, rare fungi, exotic animals

Unwieldablity (Curse Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a curse to make great weapons, unusable for awhile How To Get Cursed: This curse has to be applied to the item before hand, during a ritual. Affliction From Curse: Makes it so this weapon can't be used as a tool or as a weapon, as long as it's cursed. How To Un-Cures: Have to either kill the person who put the curse on the object, have it uncursed by a fairly powerful spell, & or carry the weapon with you (on person) for about 2 weeks.
