Clerk Attidues (npc idea)
Here's one for you DM's that want to have different attitudes for you shop clerks!
Roll a 1d10 to decided which from the list bellow your store clerk will have for an attitude.
1: Annoyed, they have been dealing with crappy people all day & it shows. Don't be surprised if they snip at you or do some type of 'annoyed sighs' at you.
2: Perky, they seem to be riding on rainbows & are honestly very happy to help. They will usually be smiling & attempt to cheer up anyone who looks saddened.
3: Price Manipulator, they see a gullible loser in everybody. They will attempt to charge you items at a much higher then average price, if they get called out they will lower the price to slighter higher than average.
4: Bargainer, the best part of being a store clerk to them is a game of wits between them & the customer over price. The items in there story are not listed & the clerk will give a price that is higher than average when someone comes to pay for it, fully expecting haggling to happen.
5: 200% done, their break isn't long enough & they still got hours till they are done. They will be rude brash, & well, just done with work.
6: Sleepy, They must not have gotten enough sleep last night, or maybe they were just busy, but non-the-less they are currently asleep/tired. Don't be surprised if they are starting to nod off when you come in & are fully asleep by the time you get your things to buy.
7: The New One, they are new here but make up for it in enthusiasm. They are a bit gullible & won't know the layout & loadout of the store all to well, but are happy to try & help
8: Chilled, they are kicking back & reading a book while running the store. They may not seem like the most perceptive, but behind that book are the keen eyes of an owl, always watching for enemies & thieves.
9: Thief, what better way to rob people, than to do it while also taking there money. They will attempt to take there customers money while they exchange their coins for goods. They do this by asking for there coin purse so that they can "inspect" it for validity. While doing this they will take an extra coin or two or ten.
10: Expert, they have been doing this for longer than one should be taking a clerk job. They know where every item is in the store, how much it costs, what the difference between that price & market (thought they won't tell you that), & they can tell who is planning to do anything ill in the story by just a look.
