Eldritch Lute (equipment idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a bardic item, that might cause more mischief then the bard does!

Appearance: A regular looking lute, that tends to morph into an eldritch spider with it's body replacing the lutes body & it's silk replacing the lutes silk.

Description: This lute, made from an eldritch abyss, randomly transform into an eldritch form that causers phycological damage. When the lute transforms from a regular lute, to it's eldritch lute, the user who's playing it will have a -3 when playing it [due to the strings now being sticky]. Besides that, when it isn't in the eldritch form, it can charm enemies more easily [giving +1 to the Dc roll they need to pass]. The eldritch form has a more 'pharamony' like sound when played.

Attribute: Has two forms (regular lute form & eldritch form)

-When played in regular lute form, it give a +1 to the dc save for all charm attempts.

-When played in  eldritch form, it gives -3 to being played correctly

-When successfully played in eldritch form, it deals 1d6+cha of phycological damage.

-changes form at rand [dm decides].
