Postmortemer (shop idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a shop for necromancy & for the undead. The postmortemer shop is a hidden shop that can be found down a tunnel, that is under a grave marked 'Mortemer'. If a person digs up the grave & enters the shop they will be meet by the somewhat eccentric necromancy Mortemer. The shop will be home to various items that are related to the dead, death, undead magic, & death-care [which is a thing apparently]. The shops items are quite expensive, due to the fact that Mortemer has a particle monopoly on this stuff. If anyone gets into a scuffle at his shop [which is rare, since people barley visits], he will call into some skeleton guards to throw them out. Please note that pissing off Mortemer in anyway is a bad idea, since your in a grave yard & he's a pretty powerful necromancer.

True Mirrior (item idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that need an item to reveal mimics, doppelgangers & any person using a form of disguise Appearance: A gold rimmed circular mirror that shows a person's true reflection... Description: This Mirror, made by the god/goddess of truth, always shows the true reflection of a person. What a 'true reflection' means is up to the dm, but it will always show the real forms of any being that can hide itself as something else. The mirror cannot be broken, but if used as a weapon it will do a pitiful 1d2 +str or dex [counting on if it is melee or thrown] damage. Attribute: Show a person's true reflection if looked in. -If used as a weapon, it will deal 1d2 + str/dex damage.

Coddle Combination (Food idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a meal can give multiple people abilities. Appearance: A stew made up of potato's, rashers, pork sausage, onions, & [insert extra item here]. Description: This food, made by just regular people, has the ability to take the effects from other foods & share them across all who eat it. Along with that, this meal is quite hardy & counts as a full day ration. It gives 1d6+4 hp when eaten Attribute: Allows the maker to add another food item that has an ability & for it to be transferred over into the coddle (the coddle can be eaten by multiple people in a meal. -counts as a one day ration -Gives 1d6+4 to all the people who eat it.

NPC Bundle: Travelers (npc idea)

1: A wandering halfing minstral, that has no-skill in playing their instrument. 2: A mixed group of kobolds, dragonborns, & one tiny pseudodragon who are looking for a ‘very warm’ & ‘very tall’ place to live. 3: An Elf doctor & their entourage of nurses, who wander from town to town, to do ‘miracle treatments’. 4: A band of misfit adventures, who wander around looking for quests. Their personalities clash with each other, but they are staying as a group for some reason... 5: The villains treacherous heir of a former king, who knows wanders the world alone, due to being exiled & losing their ambition. 6: A floating pearl looking crystal ball, it wanders about aimlessly… maybe it’s looking for something? 7: A general & their soldiers, who wander about looking for a new home, when they defected their own nation. 8: A wandering scholar, who’s needs to analyze the natural world have lead to a nomadic traveling reasering life.

Brush of Matter (item idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want your players to be able to make items on a whim. Appearance: A regular looking paint brush that has a strange gold/white hair used for the actual brush part. Description: This brush, made by an artistic demi-god, allows a person to paint objects into life. There is however two notable disadvantages that this brush has. Firstly the things that are painted & brought to life cannot be actual living beings. Second, it requires a rare ‘translucent rainbow paint’ to be able to use. Attribute: The user can paint objects into life. -Can’t be living beings -Have to use a rare ‘translucent rainbow paint’ to bring the item to life

A Don’s Day Out (Sidequest idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want your players to get some influence with local crime boss. The player are doing stuff together around town, when they noticed fancy dress dwarf being escorted about by swol half-orc, & a surprisingly tall elf. They will wander about for a bit, & then stop to rest at a local bench. After awhile, one of the guards will search around on their person to look for something & then whisper something to the fancy dress dwarf. The dwarf at this point will look around & will settle there eyes on the party. The dwarf will ask them to come over & tell them that the bodyguard has misplaced some heart medication pills. The dwarf will then tell the party that if they find the pills, that it would “make me very happy, & trust me when I say that making me happy can get you places”.  If the players agree & actually find the pills [they will be a local restaurant that the dwarf & guards wandered about in], they will gain one f...

A Practical Use of Explosives (event idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want so gnomes being destructive. The players are walking through the countryside, when all of a sudden, the dirt in the distance is blown up. If the players go over & check, they will see that gnome farmer is putting some weird explode into tiny holes in the ground.  If the players ask the gnome about what they are doing, the gnome will tell them that he has a wessel problem & that the Dachshund that they owned had recently died, so they are now just blowing up the weasel holes as the new solution. If the players come up with a better solution (or atleast a better solution in the eye of the gnomes) then they will get thanked & are given 3 of the explosives that the gnome was using.

Potion Of Range (potion Idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want to increase your player ranged attacks range. Appearance: A greyish potion found in a tall flask, has a surprisingly cooper/wood smell to it. Description: This potion, made by the daughter of a fletcher, allows a person to aim any attack or spell at twice the distance with the disadvantage penalty. This potion has no other effects than that, but it can be either drunk or poured onto a person to work. Attribute: When applied, it increases the range of all ranged attacks by times 2 -Can be either drunk or poured on person to be applied

Deathly Diamonds (cursed item idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want a life draining item. Appearance: A slightly large diamond (in comparison to other diamonds), that has a mahogany color Description: This gem, found in the deepest mine in the world, seemingly gives all holders of it, bad health. As long as the person who owns this, has it on there person, the effect will still be active. The gem tends to sell well, for those who don’t know the curse. Curse: The current holder of the gem will have their max hp lessened by -1 per hour with this gem [this effect will start after the person who owns it, has it for more than 3 days]. -Once gem is removed, the max hp shall go up by +1 per 10 minutes, till it reaches back to max hp.

The Silence (curse idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want a curse that makes a person unable to make sounds or precive sounds. How To Get Cursed: Disturb the peace of an ancient magical being. Affliction From Curse: The player can no longer hear sound, or make sound. How To Un-Cures: Cause A very high pitched sound (something that could break glass) can break the curse, & or a regular uncursing ritual can work after begging affected by this curse for more than 3 days.

Ruffed Up Rags (equipment idea)

Here’s one for you Dm’s that want your character to blend into poverty areas. Appearance: Ragged & baggy clothing that looks to be careful sewed together. Description: This clothing, made by a hobo, allows a person to pass off as a very poor person. It allows people to have advantageous situation when conversing with people of poverty & to begging. However it provides disadvantages to people who have a snob attitude to the poor. Attribute: Allows people to have advantage on christmas checks with poor people & for begging -Provides a disadvantage against snob people.

The Playbook (item idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want a meta item that will both increase & decrease a character intelligence & wisdom, depending on the situation it is used on. Appearance: A book that has the words “A Compilation of dungeons & dragons fifth edition books”. The book is quite thick! Description: This book, made as a collection from someone the is beyond the players realm, holds all the information about the dnd5e world! A player can look into this book for knowledge about what to do in curtain events, however if they rely too heavily on it, they will become doubtful of their own world & face disadvantages when using the book. Attribute: Reading the books provides the player an advantage in wisdoms & intelligence checks -Using the book too much/relying on it too much, leads the players to have disadvantages in intelligence & wisdom checks.

Mask Of An Old Generation (equipment idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want the players to know the knowledge of past people. Appearance: A mask made of stone & clay that has some form of achint gems melted into it as well. Description: This mask, made by an ancient clay maker, allows for a person to hear the knowledge of all people who have put on the mask, & have been dead for 300+ years. This mask is great at getting historical facts & knowledge & basic life skills, but is not good at helping with modern problems. Attribute: Allows the person to gain the knowledge of past people. -The knowledge must be from someone who has put on the mask & has also been dead for 300+ years.

Rigged tarot session (event idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that honestly just want to screw with less perceptive players The players are walking about town, when they find this odd little cart. If they go up to the cart, they will find a cloaked man who asks if one of them “wants a tair-et card reading.” If one of the players agree, he will do a simple three card reading (beings the past present 7 future). For the first it can be anycard in a tarot deck He will then, in an unorthodox way, do the future card next & it will show death on it. After that he will mention how death is looming around the player. After saying the he will move onto the ‘present’ tarot card, & will pull out another death card (which should be impossible since every deck has only 1 of each type of card in it).  After that he will try & persuade the player to get away from her destructive path by purchasing a ‘death be gone’ potion. If the players fall for it they will pay for the potion. Drinking the potion does nothing… . I...

Dark Matter Being (Enemy idea)

Here’s one for you DM’s that want an enemy that is incorporeal A dark matter being is a being made of some sort of extra dimenusular material which for simplicity sake has been named dark matter. The dark matter being is naturally incorporeal & has been known to shift from regularly. However all dark matter beings have a natural dark smokiness coming off of itselfs & have dark velvet eyes. Rare forms of this have been known to leave a permanent  trail of dark gas on the ground where it walks (can be removed with water) Stats Cr: 4 HP: 60 Ac: 17 Str: 12 Dex: 18  Con: 18 Int: 14 Wis: 4 Cha: 4 Movement: 30 feet (can go through objects) Attribute:  -Incorpell body: can go through objects. Devil Soul Pendent (equipment idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a powerful piece of equipment that comes with a powerful draw back. Appearance: A gold pendent that has a red pearl in it. A small black/purple smoke slowly trickles out of it. Anyone who holds can see a purple eye inside the pearl. Description: This pendent, made when an old lady was able to trick a devil into putting there soul into it, allows for the wearer to take half damage from all elemental attacks. This comes with the draw back of the pendent require one soul per 24 hours. Give the pendent more souls than one in 24 hours makes it increase by 24 per soul (maxes out at 72 hours). If the timer runs out, the devil will escape... & we can all see why that is bad. Attribute: The wearer only takes half damage from all element attacks. -require giving it a soul every 24 hours. -If given more than one soul in a day, the timer increases by 24 hours per extra soul (maxes out at 72 hours) -If timer runs out, the devil ...

Anti magic box (item idea)

Here's one for you Dm's that want a way for you players to dodge far coming magical attacks Appearance: A 5x5 foot box that is made of an odd blueish type of wood. Description: This large box, made by a very paranoid person, can block all spells that hit it. Please note this does not allow the box to be unaffected by all spells (some spells that move it & ones that would change the boxes condition affect it, & magic missile can get it through a small crack in the entrance of the box). The recommended use for this box is for as person to squeeze on in there, so that any spells coming for them, won't get past). Attribute: Blocks almost all magic spells from anyone that is in it -Does not block spells that would move the box. -Does not block spells that would changes the box's condition. -Magic missile can still get in it.

Geyser Boom (trap idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a high pressure water trap. The players are going through a very water area, & every so often a geyser will go off. The geysers themselves are fairly far apart & don't go off often, however, thought here first track through this area, they will see that one of the geyser isn't going off. If the players return to this area & walk near this geyser, all the built up water will come bursting out. Anyone caught in a 25 foot range of the geyser must make a dex save (on a fail they will take 2d8 +3 damage)

Bomb? (Encounter idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a real mugging with a fake bomb. The players are wandering around the world, when they encounter a strange little goblin. The goblin will wander up to the party & pull out a ticking device. The goblin will state that "This bomb will explode if you don't give me your thingies" If the play notice the obvious (ie the goblin would also explode) & or do a check on the bomb (if they check they will notice that it's just an odd looking clock), the goblin will start to get nervous but will double down on there threat. If the players double down on calling there crap, the goblin will drop the 'bomb' & run away.

Blight Touch (spell idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a spell that wants to really harm people. Lvl: 2 Casting time: Instant Range: Touch Components: Something Poisonous Duration: 3 turns Spell Description: This spell allows for the user to directly put in acidic damage into any being they touch. This will deal 2d8 + 6 acid damage, & the person affected by it must pass a con save (on fail, they will become poisoned [taking 2 damage per turn]). If this spell is casted a lvl above base, the amount of damage dealt is 1d8 + 2 per lvl above. Backstory: This spell was created by accident when a magical apprentice was trying to make a great spell for themselves. This may or may not have lead to the accidental of the person they were apprenticing under .

Potion Of Animal Manipulation (Potion idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want the drinker to control low cr rating animals Appearance: A brown potion found in a wooden liquid container. It strongly smells of wet fur. Description: This potion, made by a ranger, allows for the drinker to control all animals who have a cr rating of 1/12 of lower, that is within the 50ft of the drinker when the potion is drunken. Please note that the drinker has a chance to throwing up this potion, due to it's taste, texture, & incredibly thick nature. Attribute: Once drunken any animals with a cr rating of 1/12 or lower (within 50ft of the drink when drunken) becomes controlled by the drinker. -to control the animals takes a bonus action -If a person with a constitution of under 12 drinks this drink, have them roll a con save (on fail they will throw up the drink)

The Moose Of Destruction (Treasure Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a treasure that brings bad luck. Description: A gold encrusted life sized moose that emanates 'bad vibes'. Backstory: No one knows how this gold encrusted moose came into existence, but when it did, all who owned it were befallen by bad luck. Due to this it often swaps hands. There have been multiple attempts at destroying the moose, all of them seemed to work, but the moose would just appear in the possession of someone else later on. Material Value: The moose's gold encrusted-ness & size causes it to have a high value amongst the average person, but it usually only can be bought for it's actually high price by nobles or business. However, anyone who knows of the moose's legacy will ask for a severely low price. Magical Value: The moose, for some reason, seems to be able to enhances spells that tend to cause a lot of destruction. Besides that, it...
