The Beheader (Trap Idea)
Here's one for you DM's that want one that could make heads go rolling.
The players are walking across a room when one of them steps on a stone panel that proceeds to go into the ground. After that an axe will come out of the wall at an horizontal angle right around 5.4ft about the ground. The player who active the trap will have to make a dex save throw & on a fail will take 3d10 damage. If the player is under 5.4ft in height the trap won't work on them.
Once the trap is activated it has to be manually reset by pushing it back into place. The axe of the trap can be easily removed by simply screwing it off. The Trap can be deactivated beforehand by lifting the floor panel & or just be ignored by not stepping on it.
