Looter bugs (enemy idea)
Here's one for you DM's that want a loot stealing enemy
This Small bug has some nifty pinchers on the front that it uses to drag small shinny objects away to it's underground nest (It does this in order the help attract a mate). It's body is a made up of thick layers of fat, which it uses to make itself to indigestible for other small/medium sized bugs. It has been noted that multiple looter bugs have worked together to get some relatively large loot (the largest loot that they ever taken was a medium sized gem incrusted stone statue of a dog [took 2500+ looter bugs to do]. Some people have trained this bug so that they take the loot back to the owners house instead of it's nest. Please note that if the loot doesn't have 'something shiny' visible on the outside of it, the looter bugs will not take it.
