The Master Condottieres (Noteworthy NPCs)
Here's one for you DM's that need a group of the most skilled warriors.
The Master Condottieres are the best mercenaries who unlike other mercenaries don't flock to there person willing to pay them the most. They have high moral standards & are willing to fight under bad pay to make sure that the people who advance there morals are protected from the powerful people who don't.
The Codottieres are small, in-fact they are very small when compared to other mercenary groups. But what they lack in numbers they make up in pure skill, & strategy. The Group usually composed of three to seven members are tight nit & will fight tooth & nail to make sure they all make it out of whatever fight they spring themselves into.

Codottiere possible crew members
The Leader: They are the one who controls the group. They may be cocky, & have a bit of narcissism but they are the most skilled in both diplomacy & fighting. They are above average in about everything but do tend to be stressed, tired & over worked.
The Narcissist: Take the leaders cockiness & narcissism & times that by five & then take away the good social skills, that what the narcissists is. Their as skilled as the leader in everything else, but will always take the time to tell whoever can hear about how they are the best thing to ever bless anything ever, & how everyone should just basically stroke there long, think, ego.
The Pessimist : Everything is ganna turn out for the worst, so you better well plan for it. The pessimist believe that what can go bad, will go bad & that it is crucial to plan for such. They may be a downer to talk to, but there plans are worth listening to.
The Optimist: Everything is ganna turn out for the best, so it's best to just let what happens, happen. The optimist is the opposite of the pessimist. They believe that everything will work out for the best in the end. They are a lot better to talk to than the pessimist but might be a little bit of a ditz.
The Snarker: They haven't even opened up there mouth yet, but you already want them to shut up & to cut the sass. The Snarker will take every good opportunity to be that sarcasticc little creatine that they are. They are great socializers & can turn a conversation better than the leader, just as long as they don't sass the wrong people first.
The Socializer: They may not be able to punch you in the face good, but they sure as hell can convince you to punch yourself in the face for them. The Socializer is the teams best diplomat, & convincer. They can't use an axe, a bow, & can't even wield a shield all to good, but they can sure talk down those who have been agonized & convince the enemies to betray each other.
The Elder: They may not look like much to the people who don't know them, but to the people who do, they know that the elder has a mind full of wisdom, & strategies that are invaluable. They have been doing this 'mercenarying' for much longer than anyone else in the crew & it shows. There body may have started to weaken, but there mind hasn't.
The Support: You ever wonder whose the one who pays the bills, the one who mops up that stain the crew made last night, the one who makes sure the crew doesn't starve cause they forgot food again. Welp you found them, cause it's the support. They don't wield a sword, silver tongue, or a strategic mind, but they help the crew in all other ways. The public may not know them, but at least the crew will always appreciates them.
