A Battle of The Bastards (Campaign Idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want a good old fashion succession crisis as your campaign

"The Monarch has died, but good news the heir is ready in the waiting. Correction, the heir was ready in waiting... seem like someone just murdered them pretty hard with a knife. Well that's ok, because the monarch was a well know adulterer & has a metric shitton of bastard children, ok so we just gotta choose the right one. Oh what's this you want to be the ruler? That's fine we will just... Wait you want to be the ruler as well? Well we can just split the kingdom in two... Wait what do you all mean you want to be the rule!? Well we can't allow that let's just pick the best out of you all & split it... what do you mean there can 'only be one'. Oh Dear, don't fight we can still... Oh No."

"Well That Got Messy, but it seems like some of them are doing better than others, let's just pull up the ones who actually got a shot & just take bets on who we think will win."

Possible Contenders For The Kingdom.

The Cabinet's Choice: "By the Monarch's cabinet's discretion they have allowed me to tell you who they will all be supporting. Their pick is young, sin free, & cute... oh so wonderfully cute. Oh & they are only 4 months old... so don't let that little tid bit of information slip out to the public."

The Decadence: "The people really like them, they really freaking do. It's just that they have zero knowledge on how to govern or how to correctly pick out people who can govern good for them. They have been know for their 'less than clean' life style that may or may not included sleeping with multiple married couple's partners, the killing of three goats for 'scientific purposes', & the accidental destruction of half a coast town".

The Status: "They are off  'the highest of high society' & they got connections basically everywhere. To be honest they are probably behind the death of the heir, but don't let them know that you know, cause they may or may not have bribed half the guards in the castle. The people are kind of *hand wiggles* about them."

The Just: "They are kind, just, strategic minded & overall just a greater person that any of the rest of the choices. Heck they are like three hundred percent better than the person who was the heir. Theirs only one problem with them though, they are a tiefling. You know part of that bunch of cruel, unintelligent  betrayers. Not only that people also seem to agree with my tiefling sentiments & are also in agreement that since tieflings are bad, that this choice also must be bad. In fact they probably shouldn't even be on this list, but they have a knack for making allies & have managed to maintain their nobility status for this long, despite all the hatred towards their race."
